Our experience extends beyond engineering and into the field. Over the years, we have worked with Knelsen and other asphalt and construction companies, gaining practical experience with paving operations, equipment, materials, job-site coordination, and pavement repair.

Working alongside experienced industry professionals allowed us to combine engineering principles with the realities of asphalt construction in the field.

That combination continues to shape the way Fleet Paving approaches every project today.

Specialized Experience in Infrared Asphalt Repair

Fleet Paving has also developed experience in infrared asphalt repair, including through our partnership and work with Smart Fix Asphalt in Edmonton.

Infrared repair provides an effective method for rehabilitating localized asphalt failures by heating the existing pavement, reworking the affected material, adding new asphalt where required, and recompacting the repair area.

When applied to the right pavement conditions, this process can create a more integrated repair with fewer conventional saw-cut joints while allowing much of the existing asphalt to be reused.

Our experience with this technology has helped us understand an important principle:

Not every asphalt problem requires the same solution.

Depending on pavement condition, traffic loading, drainage, base stability, and the type of failure, the appropriate solution may be infrared repair, conventional removal and replacement, crack treatment, milling, or new paving.
